Fox News earlier in the evening had a short piece about the guy who got into the Democrats' congressional computer files. The way they're spinning this now is that the files were accessible, so it's the Democrats' fault that this guy accessed them! (Like the optimistic boy who waded through a room full of horse crap because he knew there was a pony in there somewhere, I'm sure there's an good ethical lesson in this report but it's tough to find!)
Anyway, they dispensed with the actual story -- the unethical access -- and evaluated the merits of the various memos that were found! Unbelievable way to do a story like this, by the way. It's like a bank robber drops the money so we can pick it up and spend it!
By the time they got done, they were in effect saying, "Good thing we got these memos so we can know how lousy the Democrats are." (In fact, strategy and talking points developed and shared in private are a normal and necessary part of the political process. The Republicans are total hypocrites.)
